Staff of the “Pjeter Budi” College is participating in the study visit to the University of Bialystok in Poland as part of the SPINAKER program of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. The purpose of the visit and the trainings is Legislation of European Union Legislation, International Economic Relations, Customs Law, rights and their consequences. Beside participants from Kosovo, in the program there are participants from different universities from USA, and other European Countries: Austria, Finland, Sweden, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Armenia, Hungary, Serbia and Latvia.
During the visit, that will lasts form 22nd of May – 2nd of June participants of the program will also have a chance to get to know the largest university in Podlasie and its educational offer. They will visit not only the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics and Finance, but also the University Life Sciences Center of A. Myrchy, Planetarium, University Library and University Cultural Center. They will meet with staff of the University Recruitment Center and the International Cooperation Department.
Experiences gained from this training and visit, will be shared with staff and students of the “Pjeter Budi” College. Furthermore, the focus will be on establishment and strengthening the cooperation between the two institutions.
The University of Bialystok is the largest university in north-eastern Poland, both in terms of the number of employees and students, as well as the courses and forms of education offered. The university currently employs over 1,300 people, including almost 800 academic teachers who work at 9 faculties, 5 institutes and a branch in Vilnius.
The University of Bialystok was founded as a result of the transformation of the Warsaw University Branch established in 1968 and transformed into the University of Bialystok in 1997.
