Quality Assurance

Pjetër Budi College, based on the Statute and Regulations on Quality Assurance Procedures, established the Office for Quality Assurance almost ten years ago.

This office is competent to monitor and evaluate the scientific work of the institution, ensure the quality of teaching, and determine the procedures for quality assurance and quality assessment of the work of lecturers. The mission of the office is to achieve excellence, equality, transparency and efficiency. KPB strives for the highest quality in every course and department, based on the fact that quality is an individual and collective responsibility. Since quality is at the heart of every process that the institution undertakes, the quality assurance office is developing a quality culture, working together to ensure quality and management.

Quality assurance focuses on academic, teaching, and learning issues, and is closely linked to the services that students directly support. The CPC Regulation on Quality Assurance Procedures, in order to maintain quality and achieve the objectives of educational and research activity, the office for quality assurance, develops its own quality assurance system. Evaluation of Lecturers’ performance is done through the internal quality assurance system. The evaluation of the performance of the Lecturers made by the students, as well as by the former students is realized through the anonymous evaluation questionnaires. KPB uses and implements during the quality assessment the mechanism for the implementation of measures after the assessment has been carried out.

The subject of quality assurance and evaluation at Pjetër Budi College is the entire academic and non-academic staff of the College, ie professors, experts – lecturers, demonstrators, professional associates, students, administrative services, etc.

The CPC has a Quality Assurance Regulation which sets standards for quality assurance, the instruments to be performed and the mechanisms in place to carry out activities, to supervise them and to take corrective action when necessary thanks to quality. .

The main leaders of the evaluation processes are the Office for Quality Assurance and the Commission for Quality Assurance. The second is the policy-making body, while the Quality Office is an executive and completely independent entity.

Both entities serve the same purpose: overall quality improvement, in all academic programs, interweaving of all dimensions of education, such as teaching and learning, student assessment, subject design, etc. It also includes teaching and research as well as governance and administration, referring to student responsibility responsibilities.

Mechanisms for implementing quality assurance measures are assessments through anonymous questionnaires, which are conducted according to international assessment standards.

Quality assurance assessments have effects on:

  • Public motivation and evaluation in case of positive results;
  • Implement appropriate measures in order to improve work in case of negative results.

Based on the Regulation on Quality Assurance Procedures, assessments are made to achieve the objectives, adapt the work and save the measures taken. Estimates are made in the following directions:

  • Evaluation of management measures at all organizational levels;
  • Evaluation of study and organization study programs;
  • Evaluation of teaching quality;
  • Evaluation of research, research and scientific activities (seminars);
  • Assessment of student attendance;
  • Evaluation of colloquium and exam results

The evaluation of the quality of teaching by students is done once a year through anonymous questionnaires and that are coordinated by a special commission of studies. Questionnaires are compiled by the study commission, based on the standard structure of anonymous questionnaires.
