The visit of the students from “Pjetër Budi” College to the customs terminal ICO Prishtina II was an important experience for them within the course “Customs System”. Accompanied by Professor Fisnik Visoka, they became familiar with the procedures of customs clearance in a public type A customs warehouse, specifically at Intereuropa Kosovo LLC customs depot.
During the visit, they had the opportunity to observe and learn about the processes of initial declaration, assessment, physical examination, tax calculation, and release of goods into free circulation. This was an excellent way for them to see how the customs system functions in practice and how the different customs processes are interconnected.
In addition, the students were also introduced to the logistics part and the functioning of public type A customs warehouses. They had the chance to learn about the organization and operation of public customs depots, as well as their role in the process of customs clearance.
Through this visit, the students gained valuable knowledge from direct interaction with customs officials, logistics/public warehouse employees, and customs agents. This provided them with an important perspective related to their profession and field of study, allowing them to see how theory and practice interact in the context of the customs system.
This visit was a great opportunity for the students to broaden their horizons and better understand how the customs system works in practice.
We would like to remind you that besides being a former student and current lecturer at “Pjetër Budi” College, Professor Fisnik Visoka also holds the position of Head of the Customs Department at the ICO Prishtina II customs terminal of the Customs of Kosovo in Prishtina.
